Performance Carbine Class

Students will learn the proper way to shoot the AR15 platform and how to control recoil while shooting. Students will shoot a variety of drills throughout the day while increasing their performance.

A great class for anyone wanting to improve their pistol performance. Students will shoot a variety of drills while being taught the principals of good pistol shooting skills. Open to new shooters.

Intro to Competition Pistol Shooting

In this class we will go over the different types of competitive shooting (USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge) rules, classifications, gear and guns. We will also do some live fire stages.

Pistol Red Dot Fundamentals

This class will cover the basics of using a red dot on your pistol, proper mounting, zeroing and how to acquire your red dot.

Carbine / Pistol Class

This class will cover using your carbine and pistol. How to transition from one to the other, strong side and weak side, moving and shooting, clearing malfunctions in each, shooting around barricades and in different positions and more.

This class will cover shooting and moving with a pistol, class will be held at an outdoor facility, will cover the basic safety of moving with a firearm and the proper way to move and shoot more accuratly.

Low Light AR15 & Pistol Class

This class will focus on using your weapon mounted light both AR15 and Pistol. We will practice the fundamentals of using a weapon light, teaching the correct way to use a light, avoiding accidental discharges and more. Class will also have a brief into to night vision.

This class will cover CQB fundamentals, terminology, footwork, types of entry, priorities of work, types of doors, hallways, up to 4 man stacks, points of domination, sectors of fire, weapon control, clearing dead space and communication. Day 2 will be a review of day 1 and cover low light work.

Our Instructors

Kyle W.

Owner and founder of 2VDG, with over 25 years of experience as a competition shooter in USPSA Open Division, achieving Master Class status. A U.S. Navy veteran, qualified as an expert with both rifle and pistol, with deployments to Bosnia, Italy, and Saudi Arabia. Certified by the USCCA as an Instructor, Range Safety Officer (RSO), First Aid provider, and Stop the Bleed responder. Also certified as a Range Officer through the National Range Officers Institute (NROI). Avid reloader with over 30 years of experience in both pistol and rifle calibers. Extensive training completed through respected programs such as Achilles Heel Tactical, Green Ops, Modern Tactical Concepts (MTC), JJ Racaza, Orion Training Group, and others. Active competitor in 2-Gun, precision rifle sniper matches, and steel challenge events. Member of the USCCA, NRA, USPSA, and Gun Owners of America (GOA).
Drew C.

United States Army Infantry veteran with ten years of honorable service from 2004 to 2014. Served as a Senior Scout Observer and Assistant Team Leader with F Company, 425th Infantry (Airborne), Long Range Surveillance (LRS), and later as a Squad Leader with B and D Companies, 1-125th Infantry. A graduate of the International Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol School in Pfullendorf, Germany, and completed advanced military training including the Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leaders Course (RSLC) and the Designated Marksman Course. Deployed on multiple combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan. An avid and experienced competitive shooter, regularly competing in 3-Gun, Precision Rifle, USPSA, and Steel Challenge events.
Ali F.

Brings over 15 years of experience in executive protection, layered structural protection, and incident management, with ongoing operations across Iraq, Afghanistan, and the United States for various U.S. government agencies and corporate clients. Serves as a live-fire and virtual firearms simulator trainer and consultant, with international experience in Jordan, Mexico, Germany, and the United States. NRA-certified instructor with a background in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Rifleman (0311) and combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) 4, 5, and 6. Completed advanced military training including the Marine Corps Urban Warfare Course (MOUT), Marine Corps Marksmanship Coaches Course, Enhanced Marksmanship Course, Close Quarters Battle Course (CQB), Jungle Warfare Training Center (JWTC), and the Combat Trackers Course.
Zac D.

Served 10 years in the U.S. Army before being medically retired in 2015 due to injuries sustained during combat operations in Afghanistan. Stationed in Germany, Fort Stewart, and Fort Bragg, with missions across Romania, Africa, and Afghanistan. Assigned to U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) as a Recovery Specialist with the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group. Trained and proficient in small arms, force protection operations, special forces combat tactics, and Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Level 3. Additional training includes rappelling, airborne operations, and the Designated Marksman Course.

Served in the United States Marine Corps from 1987 to 1991, including deployment during Operation Desert Storm. Brings over 30 years of federal law enforcement experience with extensive specialized training. Completed the U.S. Marshals Service Building Entry Techniques course, the Federal Bureau of Investigation Observer/Sniper Course, and the United States Customs Firearms Training Course. Certified as a firearms facilitator and instructor through the Federal Air Marshal Service, along with completion of its defensive tactics instructor course. Additional instructor-level certifications include the Phoenix-GA LLC Basic Tactics Instructor Course, U.S. Training Center Protective Operations Course, Law Enforcement Medical Response Instructor Course, and Use of Force Instructor Course. Also certified as a firearms instructor through the USCCA.
Jeremiah B.

Infantryman and Infantry Officer with 18 years of total service in the United States Army, including combat deployment to Afghanistan. Proven expertise in small unit tactics and both foreign and domestic small arms. Extensive experience in high-pressure operational environments and leadership roles. Active competitive shooter with participation in 3-Gun, IDPA, USPSA, and Steel Challenge matches, demonstrating advanced marksmanship, tactical proficiency, and a strong commitment to continual skill development.

68W5 Combat Medic and certified EMT-B with NOLS Wilderness EMT training, bringing 19 years of experience in the U.S. Army. Served extensively as a Combat Medic supporting infantry units and forward surgical teams in high-intensity environments. Completed rigorous military and medical training including Airborne School, Brigade Combat Team Trauma Training, and the Army Basic Instructor Course. Experienced small arms instructor with multiple overseas deployments to Afghanistan and Ukraine. Known for delivering expert trauma care in both combat and austere environments, and for training fellow soldiers in life-saving techniques under pressure.
